Here are some common questions about Small Module Systems

1. How is the Small Module System used at Home?

It's important to know that Vaayu is primarily a waste management solution. The secondary benefit is that it will also generate cooking gas.

Our small module is used inside homes. In flats, bungalows. It's small enough to fit inside most balconies.

2. How much gas will get generated from our waste?

As a thumb rule, anywhere between 10 to 20% of your cooking gas needs can be offset from your own waste.

3. Will we be LPG free with the small module?

No. You will offset 10 to 20% of your gas requirement. Your existing cooking setup will continue as is. We will provide an additional single burner for Biogas.

4. Can you provide some specific numbers?

Surely. One word of caution: Waste is not a standard entity. The calorie content of waste governs how much gas will get generated.
However as a thumb rule 1 kg of home kitchen waste will generate upto 20 mins of cooking time.

5. What is the waste digestion capacity of our small module?

As a thumb rule, It can digest up to 2 kg of home kitchen waste per day. One word of caution: Waste is not a standard entity. The calorie content of waste governs how much waste can be input.

6. How much space is needed?

6*4 feet (If Balloon is placed on ground) Or

7. What is the maintenance involved ?

Maintenance mainly involves removing undigested fibrous material every 4 to 6 months, Team Vaayu provides a paid maintenance service every 6 months. Few of our customers do it on their own. We provide training.

8. Which areas do you service currently?

Currently we are installing in the Pune region only.

9. What should I do to install Vaayu in another region outside Pune?

10. Can we put dry leaves?

No, We can’t put the dry leaves in Vaayu Biogas.
